The Constitutional Court and the Law Faculty of Halu Oleo University held a regional seminar on constitution under the theme “Confirmation of the Democracy of the 1945 Constitution in the Indonesian Constitutional System.”

This event was officially opened by the Head of the Public Relations and Domestic Cooperation Department Fajar Laksono on Saturday (06/10/2018) at the Java Hotel Same Boutique Room, Kendari. In his remarks, Fajar stated that the Constitutional Court is a single court that does not have branches in the regions, whereas the work area of ​​the Constitutional Court as a judicial body covers Sabang to Merauke. Therefore, he added, cooperation with universities across the archipelago is a necessity for the Constitutional Court, one of which in programs to improve the citizens’ understanding of their constitutional rights. He also stated that the program to improve the citizens’ understanding of their constitutional rights as well as the regional constitutional seminar was part of the Constitutional Court’s efforts to improve the quality of the community’s understanding of law and constitution.

The constitutional regional seminar was held on October 6, 2018, with a keynote presentation by Fajar Laksono, followed by a discussion in 3 sessions. Speakers at the discussion included Prof. H. Muh Jufri Dewa, S.H., M.H. from Halu Oleo University, Dr. Jeremy Pieterz from Pattimura University, Dr. Marudut Hasibuan, S.H., M.H. from Cenderawasih University, and Dr. Romy Librayanti, S.H., M.H. from Hasanuddin University.
