The Constitutional Court in collaboration with the Faculty of Law of Brawijaya University held the Constitutional Law Festival for the sixth time. This year, the festival carried the theme "Realizing Honorable and Dignified Constitutional Court as Guardian of Constitution."
The event was opened by Head of the Public Relations and Protocol Bureau Rubiyo, representing the Secretary General of the Constitutional Court on Friday (5/10) at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Law, Brawijaya University. In his welcome speech, Rubiyo stated that the Constitutional Court is a single court that does not have any regional branches, even though its field of work as a judicial body covers Sabang to Merauke. For this reason, he added, cooperation with universities spread across the archipelago is a necessity for the Constitutional Court, one of which is cooperation in program to improve citizens\' understanding of constitutional rights understanding. Rubiyo also stated that the program to increase citizens\' understanding of constitutional rights as well as the Constitutional Law Festival are part of the Constitutional Court\'s endeavors to improve the capacity of the community in law and constitutionalism.
The Constitutional Law Festival was held for three days, October 5 to 7, 2018, with a series of activities of the Rotating Cups on Student Scientific Article Competition of Prof. Abdul Mukhtie Fadjar, Bill Drafting Competition of Prof. Achmad Sodiki for private/state university students throughout Indonesia, Quiz Competition for students of high school/equivalent throughout Malang. The activity ended with a National Law talkshow under the theme "The Constitutional Court in the State Administration System of Indonesia" on Sunday, October 7, 2018. A number of speakers were scheduled to attend the talkshow, including Deputy Chief Justice Aswanto, Law Faculty Professor of UNPAD Susi Dwi Harijanti, Law Faculty Professor of UII Ni\'matul Huda, and Constitutional Court Researcher Pan Mohamad Faiz.
