Staff of the Constitutional Court held a ceremony to commemorate Pancasila Day (Sacred Pancasila) on Monday (1/10) at the yard of the Constitutional Court. Head of the Pancasila and Constitution Education Center Budi Achmad Djohari led the ceremony.

Legal and Registrar Administration Bureau staff Grenata Petra Claudia read out the Pledge of Allegiance to Pancasila delivered by Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) Bambang Soesatyo. "Pledge, therefore before God Almighty in commemorating [Pancasila Day], we are determined to maintain and practice the values of Pancasila as a source of strength in collectiviely fighting for/upholding truth and justice for the integrity of the Republic of Indonesia."

The pledge emphasizes that since Indonesia\'s independence was proclaimed on August 17, 1945, a lot had undermined the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. There could be neglect and lack of awareness of the Indonesian people towards activities seeking to overthrow Pancasila as state ideology. Therefore, with the spirit of togetherness based on the noble values of Pancasila, the Indonesian nation is determined to strengthen the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.
