The Constitutional Court held an iftar gathering on Monday (28/5/2018) at the Hall of the Constitutional Court. The constitutional justices, secretary general, and staff members attended the event, which took place on the 12th day of Ramadan.
In his address, Chief Constitutional Justice Anwar Usman talked about the importance of gratitude for the opportunity to observe Ramadan once again and practice worship. He also hoped that this year Muslims in the Constitutional Court observe Ramadan by fasting and other practices of worship.
Ustadz Adian Husaini preached about the role of ulama who hopefully can practice his knowledge. He said that knowledge without application and vice versa was futile, as we are meant to apply our knowledge. He also talked about a doctoral dissertation of a Harvard University graduate on the concept of hikmah (wisdom). He said that the dissertation was the in-depth analysis of the concept of hikmah, which is obtained through knowledge and empirically. He also talked about the word hikmat in the preamble of the 1945 Constitution, and in one of the Pancasila principles. (Nano Tresna Arfana/LA/Yuniar Widiastuti)
