Staff members of the Registrar’s Office and Secretariat General of the Constitutional Court (MK) held a flag-hoisting ceremony to celebrate the 110th National Awakening, Monday (21/5/2018). Head of the Resources and Organization Bureau Mulyono read out the speech by the Communication and Information Technology Minister Rudiantara on outstanding human resources and the opportunities of the digital era. The digital era is said to need outstanding human resources for Indonesia to compete in the global world and to rise to the challenges.

Mulyono said that the digital era must compel the people and the Government to improve the human resources to be actors in the world’s digital world, nor merely users. “Young Indonesians have made success stories as application enthusiasts and creative content providers,” he said. He added that the digital world may also play a role in encouraging positive values for all people. It should not be crowded with negative influences that could be harmful for the nation’s young generation.

Mulyono said that in 2028-2031, the population within productive ages would eclipse the older generations. This marks a momentum when human resources would have to be improved. Concluding the ceremony, he said that the nation’s unity must be developed, as the founding father Soekarno once said. (ARS/LA/Yuniar Widiastuti)
