Four groups of 31 law students from the University of Indonesia (UI), Gajah Mada University (UGM), Diponegoro University (UNDIP), Sebelas Maret University Surakarta (UNS), and Sultan Agung Islamic University Semarang (Unissula) presented papers in the Delegation Room of the Constitutional Court on Friday (9/2/2018). The presentations marked the closing of university student internship program of 2018 Period I at the Constitutional Court.  The program was officially closed by Secretary General M. Guntur Hamzah.

In his closing address, Guntur expressed hope for the students to maintain the spirit and spirit of the Constitutional Court when returning from the internship. "You are already connected to the Constitutional Court. This means discipline, dedication, professionalism, and integrity have been instilled in you. Therefore, spread those positive attitudes in your environment because only then will you be accepted in a wider environment," said Guntur before the participants and Head of Justice Administrative and Human Resources Iman Sudirman.

Guntur said that the assessment of the students’ internship would be sent directly to their respective universities and be made available at the Court’s website. He also advised the students to provide an assessment of the Court honestly and openly.

Head of the Human Resources and Financial Affairs Bureau Mulyono said that during the internship program from January 15 to February 9, the students participated in various activities: attending Court hearing, visiting the library, receiving petition documents, as well as observing case data processing.

“During the internship, 31 students—2 from UI students, 11 from UNDIP, 1 from Unissula, 5 from UGM, and 13 from Unnes—have completed various activities with their mentors. They showed good attitudes,” said Mulyono before the program was closed. (Sri Pujianti/LA)
