Head of the Justice and Human Resources Administration Department of the Constitutional Court Sigit Purnomo gave direction to 21 student interns at the Constitutional Court (MK), Monday afternoon (2/10). “There have been many internship applications in the Constitutional Court. However, not all can be accepted, and we select [them],” Sigit said.
Five universities sent their students in an internship program at the Constitutional Court from October 2 to November 3, 2017. They are Semarang State University, Catholic University Atma Jaya, Pamulang University, Tanjung Pura University, and Sawerigading University, Makassar.
"Through [this] internship, students are expected not only to gain knowledge of constitutional law theories and of the Constitutional Court from books, but to directly learn about constitutional law and the performance of the Constitutional Court. We hope that the students will make the best use of their time during the internship," said Sawerigading University Rector A. Melantik at the briefing.
Sigit stated that the internship application cannot be sent by individuals, but with permission of the university. Applicants shall propose the objective of the internship. The internship runs for a month. All interns are expected to follow hearings at the Court and all regulations that apply in the Court. (Nano Tresna Arfana/LA/Yuniar Widiastuti)
