The Constitutional Court (MK) determined the final result of the votes of each candidate pair in the 2017 election of Regent and Vice Regent of Puncak Jaya, Monday (7/8). Decision Number 42/PHP.BUP-XV/2017 was pronounced Deputy Chief Justice Anwar Usman along with other Constitutional Justices.
Candidate Pair No. 1 Justin Wonda and Kirenius Telenggen (Petitioners) received 61,442 votes. Meanwhile, Candidate Pair No. 2 Henok Ibo and Rinus Telenggen received 34,750 votes, tied to Candidate Pair No. 3 Yuni Wonda and Deinas Geley (Related Images).
Based on the report of General Elections Commission (KPU) of the Republic of Indonesia and KPU of Puncak Jaya, Bawaslu (Elections Supervisory Agency), and Panwaslih (Voters Supervisory Committee) of Puncak Jaya, the Constitutional Court result of the revote in the 6 districts of Puncak Jaya Regency (Dagai, Ilamburawi, Molanikime, Lumo, Yambi, and Yamoneri) are as follows: Pair No. 1 received 9,280 votes, Pair No. 2 received 37 votes, and Pair No. 3 Received 13,096 votes.
Based on User with Related Party, it reached 12,683 votes (7.45%). The number exceeded the maximum number that could be used as basis for the petitioners to file a motion, i.e. 2%. "Therefore, the petitioners do not meet the legal requirements as stated in Article 158 paragraph (2) letter a of Law 10/2016 and Article 7 paragraph (2) letter a of PMK 1/2016," said Constitutional Justice Suhartoyo.
Therefore, the petitioners\\' court did not have the legal standing to file an a quo petition. "We hereby state the petitioner\\'s petition cannot be accepted," said Deputy Chief Justice Anwar Usman.
