The Constitutional Court achieves 2016 Bawaslu Award for category Supporting Institution and Ministry in 2015 Regional Elections. Court’s Public Relations and Protocol Bureau Head Budi Achmad Djohari received the award on Monday (29/2) evening, in Balai Sarbini, Jakarta. Along with the Court, the award was also given to the House of Representatives (DPR), the Regional Representative Council (DPD), and the Supreme Court (MA).
A number of high-rank government officials were presented in the awarding night; Vice President Jusuf Kalla, House Speaker Ade Komaruddin, Chairman of the Regional Representative Council (DPD) Irman Gusman, Chairman of the Election Organizers Honorary Council (DKPP) Jimly Ashiddiqie, Chairman of the General Election Commission (KPU) Husni Kamil Manik, and Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (KemenPAN) Minister Yuddy Chrisnandi. The ranks of the Election Monitoring Body (Bawaslu) and the representatives of provincial election monitoring bodies were also attended the ceremony.
The purpose of 2016 Bawaslu Award is to appreciate election organizers who have significant contribution in implementing reputable election. The award which has been held for the second time is divided into two categories; internal monitoring organizer and external organizer.
The categories of internal monitoring organizer are best dispute settlement, best violation handling, best election stage monitoring, best participative monitoring, best public relation socialization and inter-institutional socialization, best grants management, best provincial secretariat, best regency/city monitoring committee, best district monitoring committee, best field monitoring committee, and best polling station monitoring committee.
The categories of external organizer are best regional election tv programme, best regional election presenter, and best observer.
The award goes to state institutions, ministers, regional governments, public figures, printed media, online media, election observers, and political observers who participate in 2015 regional elections. (Nano Tresna Arfana/lul/Prasetyo Adi N)
