The Court Achieves 2015 Government Public Relations Award

The Constitutional Court achieves two awards in 2015 Government Public Relations Award; the best in merchandising and the second best in inhouse magazine (KONSTITUSI magazine). As known, the Government Public Relations Coordinating Body (Badan Koordinasi Kehumasan Pemerintah –Bakohumas) holds the award ceremony on Wednesday evening (18/11), in Surabaya, East Java. The ceremony is a part of the Body’s annual meeting.

As known, the Court gave merchandise in form of silver plates with engraved Indonesia map, which delivered to the delegation of constitutional courts and equivalent institutions from participating countries in International Symposium on Constitutional Complaint on August 2015, Jakarta. The symposium was a part of AACC’s meeting in which the Constitutional Court of Republic of Indonesia became the president of the AACC.

Meanwhile, KONSTITUSI magazine is the Court’s inhouse magazine which aims to improve constitutional rights understanding. The magazine contains information on Court’s authority implementations and other law knowledge which presented in in-depth review. The magazine becomes one of the references of various circles; academics, law practitioners, law enforcers, and the public.

In addition to the awards, the Court’s Public Relations becomes one of the nominators on institution profile category. In this category, State Secretariat receives the best award.

Information Technology Rapid Changing

Communication and Information Minister Rudiantara delivers speech on the award ceremony. He delivers that social media has changed the paradigm of information on conventional media. Rapid changing in information technology shall be anticipated by government public relations by accelerating public relation dynamics. “The way we respond to such dynamics requires public relations to interact quickly in information technology rapid changing,” said Rudiantara.

Therefore, Rudiantara reminds government public relations staffs to give attention to internet-based non-conventional media as a means in juxtaposing state institutions with each respective stakeholder. According to Rudiantara, accessible information shall be optimized by state institutions in order to deliver their overall performance and inter-institution cooperation. “The synergy between various state institutions shall be established by utilizing technology advancement,” said him.
