The Constitutional Court (Mahkamah Konstitusi –MK) again provides briefing to election commission staffs in order to prepare 2015 regional election. The Court holds second term of Dispute Settlement Technical Guidance (Bimbingan Teknis –Bimtek) for Election Commission (Komisi Pemilihan Umum –KPU) on Monday (5/10) until Wednesday (7/10) at the Pancasila and Constitution Center (Pusat Pendidikan Pancasila dan Konstitusi –Pusdik), Cisarua Bogor.  The event is attended by 162 commission staffs as participant.

Court’s Secretary General Guntur Hamzah opens the event. He delivers that the event aims to provide understanding on regional election dispute settlement. “This event aims to provide understanding on dispute settlement in upcoming regional elections. By participating in this event, I believe that you will be able to perform brilliantly in manifesting remarkable democracy in Indonesia,” said Guntur in front of participants.

Hamzah further says that the Election Commission will be able to improve prevailing responsibility and conduct its mandate as election organizer. According to him, the Election Commission is the frontline in guarding democracy in regional elections.

Meanwhile, Election Commission’s Acting Secretary General (Plt Sekjen KPU) Purwoto Ruslan Hidayat says the event is one of the great attempts for commission members. “I would like to thank the Constitutional Court due to the opportunity in technical guidance which given to election commission. By this technical guidance, election members will be more capable in understanding dispute settlement in upcoming regional elections,” said him,

Purwoto also says that there will be a new breakthrough in which the Court able to request minutes to election commission when regional elections have been done.
