The Constitutional Court (Mahkamah Konstitusi –MK) again receives an award from Finance Ministry due to its success in achieving ‘reasonable without exception’ (wajar tanpa syarat –WTP) grade on 2014 financial statements audited by Audit Board. Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs (Menteri Koordinator Bidang Perekonomian) Darmin Nasution gives the award to Court’s Secretary General M. Guntur Hamzah, on Friday (2/10) at Dhanapala Building, Finance Ministry Complex. The award is also received by 287 institutions which achieved ‘reasonable without exception’ grade; 62 ministries/agencies, 26 provincial governments, 149 regency governments, and 50 city governments.
“Good State’s finance management is a factor of good governance. Increasing State Budget (Anggaran Pendapatan Belanja Negara –APBN) demands disciplined finance management,” said Coordinating Minister Darmin Nasution when read President’s directive. Nasution also says that the President commands to be earnest and hard work in manifesting accrual-based accounting.
As known, 2014 Financial Statements is the last financial statements using cash towards accrual (Kas Menuju Akrual). In 2015, Government’s Financial Statements has been obliged to use accrual basis.
The award ceremony is the opening of a series of 2015 National Accounting and Financial Reporting Working Meeting (Rapat Kerja Nasional Akuntansi dan Pelaporan Keuangan) entitled “Implementation of Accrual-Based Accounting and Government’s Financial Reporting” (“Implementasi Akuntansi dan Pelaporan Pemerintah Berbasis Akrual”). On the event, Court’s Head of Finance and Personnel, Court’s Head of Financial Officer, Court’s Internal Supervisor Immanuel Hutasoit, and accrual ambassador Dessy Citrawati and Akbar Anatajaya.
The Court has achieved ‘reasonable without exception’ grade for nine times consecutively since 2006. (IH/IR/Prasetyo Adi N)
