The Constitutional Court has been recognized as the best national archive unit in Indonesia by the National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia (ANRI). The ANRI’s head Mustari Irawan delivered the 2015 award to the Court’s general bureau head Mulyono, on Monday evening (17/8), in the ANRI Building, Jakarta.
“The 2015 archive award intends to motivate and improve good archive management. Well-ordered archives will be useful for Constitutional Justices, Court staffs, and the public,” said Mulyono.
The Court had received the award for the second time; the first one was received in 2011. Besides the Court, the ANRI and the National Institute of Aeronautics and Space (LAPAN) also received the award. The Foreign Affairs Ministry, Health Ministry, and Environment and Forestry Ministry received the award for ministerial category, while Universitas Negeri Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) Yogyakarta, and Universitas Udayana received the award for university institutions category.
Initial selection for 2015 archive award was done by inviting institutions to submit assessment. After the initial selection, the ANRI conducted field verification. Institution who passed the verification then delivered presentation and interview to the ANRI.
Earlier in 2008, the Court had been awarded as the best archive management in government institutions, for the Court’s outstanding performance in archive development, management, and rescue. (Nano Tresna Arfana/LA/Prasetyo Adi N)
