Constitutional Debate Participants Visit Constitutional History Center

After participating in 2015 Constitutional Debate National Constitution (Kompetisi Debat Konstitusi Mahasiswa Antar Perguruan Tinggi Se-Indonesia Tahap Nasional 2015), several university students visited Constitutional History Center on Wednesday afternoon (17/6). Many impressions came out responding the center located on 5th and 6th floor of the Constitutional Court Building.

One of them was a student from Sharia and Law Faculty of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta Ledy Famulya who commented the center. “Constitutional History Center is quite remarkable and significant. There are some information which didn’t noted in many reference books,” said Ledy.

Meanwhile a law lecturer of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta Sri Wahyuni said the material displayed in the center were good. “I am quite surprised that the materials of Constitutional History Center are very complete. I feel delighted. We could know the detail of constitutional history in Indonesia. I several time come to the Court, but I only once to Puskon,” said Wahyuni.

A student of Law Faculty of Universitas Islam Indonesia Yogyakarta was also delighted when visit the center. “It is my first time goes to the center. It is fun, comfortable. We could learn constitutional history in Indonesia from the beginning to the constitutional amendment,” said Gagah.

“My favorite part from the center was the Proklamasi hologram, because I could hear authentic voice of Bung Karno when proclaiming Indonesia independence,” Gagah added.

Another comment came from Teguh Tresna Dewa, a student of Sharia and Law Faculty of UIN Syarief Hidayatullah Jakarta. According to Teguh, the Constitutional Court was extraordinarily complete; not only consisted of courtroom, but also many facilities could be used such as Pancasila and Constitution Center. “By the existence of Constitutional History Center, people can learn the history of Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution and etc,” he added.

According to Teguh, Constitutional History Center provided many information and knowledge for students, particularly regarding the Pancasila history, constitution history and several matters about act amendment. “Including Constitution Cinema that presented a series of constitutional history and constitutional court history via movies, audiovisual documents about constitutional as historical fact are still preserved and completed,” said Teguh.
