Indonesia is now suffered from severe disease. Philosophy of Pancasila has been violated and drives the youth into peril.

It was delivered by Deputy Chief Justice of Constitutional Court (MK) Arief Hidayat as he opens Constitutional Rights Course for Pancasila and Citizenship Educator in MK Constitution and Pancasila Study Centre, Cisarua, West Java, Wednesday (11/26).  

Arief explained that another threat eyeing the youth is distrust, between the people and the government, amongst executive, legislative, and judicative body. Both affect to dire and complicated problem this nation is facing, sets an array of obstacles to develop the nation as determined in the Constitution. Thus, Arief hoped, teachers as the main pillars of education are able to indoctrinate state’s identity to the youth who once will take the future of this nation in their hand.  

The course’s purpose is meant so the teachers can educate their students about Pancasila and the Constitution as intended by our founding fathers.

“Considering the worrisome-low-Pancasila and Constitution understanding generation, I do have faith by this course, the teachers may breed the immaculate Pancasila well-acquainted generation to engage advancing nation,” Arief said   

Previously, Constitutional Court (MK) Secretary-general Janedjri M.Gaffar, said that 2014 Constitutional Rights Course will be conducted in three days, started from Wednesday (11/26) to Friday (11/28).  This year’s event is the fifth event conducted by Constitutional Court, Ministry of Culture and Elementary and Secondary Education (Kemendikbud), and Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag). 150 Teachers from all over Indonesia are accounted to take part in the event.

In the Course, the participants may enrich their capabilities and knowledge through courses and discussions scheduled within. Experts and mentors are expected to share their expertise, prominent figures, such as Former Justice I Dewa Gede Palguna, 1945 Constitution amendment begetter G. Seto Harianto, and state administration expert Saldi Isra booked their name in the list.    

Constitutional Award bestowal is set to end the series of Constitutional Rights Course events. The finale is scheduled to be held on Saturday (11/28). The award will be given by Chief Justice Hamdan Zoelva, Minister of Religious Affair Lukman Hakim Sifuddin, and Minister of Culture, Elementary and Secondary Educatio Anies Baswedan.
