In this global realm, providing relation between states is unavoidable. Every single constructive and fruitful partnership must be utilized as well as possible to overcome challenges set in the realm.

Strong diplomatic ties between Russia Federation and RI is strengthened as Constitutional Court of Republic of Indonesia (MKRI) pledges more comprehensive partnership with its Russia counterpart.   

Thursday (11/13), at Russian Constitutional Court building, St. Petersburg, Chief Justice Hamdan Zoelva and his counterpart, Valery Zorkin signed Memorandum of Cooperation. The signing was tucked between warm ceremony conducted at Senatskaya Square Room 1.

Both institutions pledged with enthusiastic ambience. Chief Jsutice Hamdan Zoelva was accompanied by MKRI Secretary-general, Janedjri M. Gaffar. While Valery Zorkin accompanied by other 19 Justices, including his deputy, Olga S. Khokhryakova and Sergey P.Mavrin, and Secretary-general, Elena.

The signed MoC is partnerships instrument to comprehend both institutions’ interests. It comprises transfer of knowledge, transfer of legal matters, and researcher exchange; courtesy visit for the Justice and Staffs; holding conference and seminar; research result exchange; and so on.

Hamdan. Im the event, also said that the partnership was built upon Russian Constitutional Court’s history which established in 1991 and nowadays arranging strong legal basis in Russia. The Court, said Hamdan, has inspired Indonesia in bringing out its own Constitutional Court. Thus, the partnership is expected to develop further enhancement for both Constitution guarantor.

Meanwhile, Valery Zorkin said it is a pleasure to conduct partnership with MKRI. To his knowledge, MKRI has established strategic law development in in the archipelago in the last ten years. Hence, its position as Association of Asian Constitutional Court and Equivalent Institution (AACCEI) President is well deserved.
