Constitutional Court recited the provision of the application for judicial review on Regional Government Act as the petition was revoked. Registrar of the Court noted, at least on the judicial review filed by the Government Law Legal Studies Forum and the Constitution, the Court has held five hearings on the exact date of October 17, 2014, April 30, 2014, 3 September 2014, September 25, 2014 and October 15, 2014.

However, examination of the application to be terminated because on 22 October, the Clerk has received a letter from the Applicant which principally says that applicant withdraws the petition for Article 56 verse (1) Act 12/2008 concerning the Second Amendment Act 32/2004 on Regional Government and Article 1 verse (4) Act 15/2011 towards 1945 Constitution on the running of General Election. The Court adjudicated that the revocation is justified by law and Petitioner cannot file same petition over.

"Whereas the withdrawal of the pleading, Judge Consultative Plenary Meeting on Monday, November 3, 2014, has set a recall Application No. 36 / PUU-XII / 2014 has legal grounds and on the basis of Article 35 verse (1) and (2) Act 8/2011 on the Amendment of  Act 24/2003 on the Constitutional Court, the applicant may withdraw the application before or during the examination conducted by Constitutional Court, and the recall is referred to in verse (1) resulting application cannot be resubmitted ," said Chief Justice Hamdan Zoelva.

Reported previously, the Forum of Justice and Constitutional Studies, represented by Victor Santoso Tandiasa asked Constitutional Court to examine the constitutionality of the Local Government Act that regulates the local elections involving the active participation of the public. He said, should local elections are not conducted uniformly in the same way in all regions but must be adapted to the local knowledge of each area. He exemplifies, in Papua may adopt Nokens system, while in Java can be either direct election by the people.
