Bandung Labschool Students Paid a Visit to MK

High school students from Labschool UPI (Universitas Pembangunan Indonesia) Bandung visited the Constitutional Court (MK) on Thursday (6/11) morning. The intent purpose of their visit is to know more closely the performance and range of facilities that exist in the Court.

"We are willing to learn outside the classroom, we mainly want to know MK closer. Our students do not just see it on TV but also the see fact directly. At the very least, the students could see the Constitutional Court directly, documentation center and library of the Court, "said Saiful Rahman as SMA Labschool UPI Bandung Public Relations.

"After the visit, students are required to write a paper related to the Court," added Saiful Rahman on the sidelines of the visit.

The arrival of the high school students Labschool UPI Bandung was accepted by librarians, Hanindyo.

"Currently, the Constitutional Court has an information center about the history of the constitution in Indonesia, ranging from the idea of the constitution was made up to now. Including the history of constitutional development in Indonesia during the colonial period, until the establishment of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Indonesia in 2003," said Hanindyo.

"At the very least, you will know the power branches in Indonesia, including the judicial branch of power, one of which is the Constitutional Court," added Hanindyo.

Furthermore, the high school students of Labschool UPI Bandung gained opportunity to see firsthandedly the Documentation Center of History of the Constitution and the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Indonesia (MKRI) which is a compilation of all kinds of forms of documentation relating to the history of the constitution.  Some of them were visualized by means of the latest technology and modern. So that people who access later, can have a comprehensive overview of constitutional history in Indonesia.

In addition, the students visited the library MKRI which currently has a collection of more than 22,000 book titles. MKRI Library also collaborates with various domestic and abroad libraries. (Nano Tresna Arfana/mh/kun)
