Aceh National Mandate Party (PAN) Politician, Anas Bidin Nyak Syech revoked his petition of Judicial Review on Act 11/2006 (Aceh Government Act)

“Yes, the Plaintiff did not attend and has delivered a letter to the Chief Justice declaring Revocation of cases registered upon 96/PUU-XII/2014,” said Justice Wahiddudin Adams at MK Plenary Room, Jakarta, Wednesday (10/29).

Prior to it, Anas sees that the ruling of Province and Region Representatives Council (DPRA and DPRK) as determined in Article 80 verse (1) letter d and e Aceh Government Act has smeared legal uncertainty and opposing the constitution.

Basrun Yusuf, The Plaintiff’s attorney said that in the compliance of legislative elections, the committee generalized Article 80 (1) letter d and e through Aceh Independent Election Commission (KIP). According to him, Aceh Government Act just determined legislatures allocation for the local parties. “Instead KIP applied the rule for both local and national parties,” he said at MK Plenary Room, Wednesday (10/15).

Therefore, the Plaintiff asked MK to declare the Article 80 verse (1) letter d and e Act of Aceh Government, opposing the regulation for legislature allocation as determined in Article 54 Act 8/2012 about legislative election and 1945 Constitution. (Lulu Hanifah/mh/kun)
