Dwi Rita Latifa, one of the Petitioners apologized to the Panel of Justices due to their absence in the previous trial which scheduled on Wednesday (10/22). “We couldn’t attend the trial because sort of things we cannot avoid. We apologize for our mistake and we didn’t mean to disregard the Court,” She said at MK Plenary Room, Tuesday (10/28).

Dwi also hinted that the revocation was taken due to the ne bis in idem possibility to previous adjudicated case. “We think that the petition is better being revoked before any other problem appear. Let the problem being stipulated in the parliament, although there is no way we can  file similar petition,” she added.

In response to that, Panel of Justices eventually received the revocation, “Everything is in your call, if you really want to do so than we regard your decision,” Patrialis Akbar who led the trial said.

However, he reminded that the Plaintiff may petition similar Act as long as they plead different Articles and different pole. Patrialis understood their reasons concerning legislative agendas they ‘re having. “We just comply the regulation to handle efficient trial, we were questioning your reason to not attend the previous trial, that left a bad precedent to us,” he added.(Lulu Hanifah/mh)
