Constitutional Court (MK) held another judicial review hearing of forestry Act and spatial Planning Act as petitioned by Indonesian Regents Association (APKASI), on Tuesday (9/16). Represented by Yusril Ihza Mahendra, the Applicants described their revised points.

Toward the Panel of Justices, which led by Justice Muhammad Alim, Yusril addressed that his side has revised their legal standing, as well as their argumentation and posita.

“Declare that pemerintah and minister words and all norms conveyed in Article 66 verse (1), (2), (3) of Forestry Act as lawless and non-binding.” Yusril recited his revised petitum.

Meanwhile, to the Act of spatial planning, Yusril said that his side did not occupy too many changes. The Petitum is one of few. “Mainly to the petitum, we are really open to any advice. [..] We also ask for annulment of specific words, ‘regional spatial planning’, not the entire article,” Yusril said.

Meanwhile, Isran noor, the Applicant, who also attended the hearing explained that APKASI accentuates their presence to accentuate the review of the three regulations. APKASI consists of 411 regents and legally is a formal organization in echoing their aspirations.

“The purpose of the association is to give advocacy assistance in relation to government effectuation and to ponder sectors that haven’t been reached by the regents yet.” Isran explained.  (Yusti Nurul Agustin/mh/kun)
