Constitutional Court (MK) Chief Justice Hamdan Zoelva accepted Padjadjaran Utama award from the campus where he got his doctoral degree, Padjadjaran University (Unpad), Bandung. The award was given as appreciation due to Hamdan contribution in serving public and his success to regain public’s trust on MK.

Hamdan himself expressed his gratitude to Unpad for the prestigious award. “I thank Unpad for the appreciation from one of the best university in Indonesia. This is seriously a milestone to my life,” Hamdan said in the main event of Unpad’s 57^th anniversary.

He also hoped that Unpad will keep evolving until it gained a place amongst the queue of world-class universities. “I also thank Unpad for the direction, drilling, and guidance. I support all Unpad’s efforts to be the best not only in Indonesia, but also acknowledged throughout the globe,” Hamdan said.

The event was also attended by Minister of National Development Plan (Bappenas), Armida Salsiah Alisjahbana who also received Padjadjaran Utama. Armida who is Unpad’s professor, is considered to step up Unpad’s name by doing her tenure, as well as Hamdan.     

Unpad 57^th Dies Natalis      

The awards giving is the main event to mark Unpad’s 57^th anniversary. The event also filled with Open Senate Meeting and Scientific Oration by Armida Salsiah Alisjahbana. In the oration, Armida described that to pass the challenge Indonesia might be facing in the future, Indonesia must re-attain its human resources by optimizing the quality of which and it will be determined by the radiant presence of universities involvement.
