Absent, Sailing Act Hearing Postponed

Number of Students incorporated in Gresik City Forum (Forkot), who filed a petition Act 17/2008 of sailing did not attend the revision hearing.

In Patrialis-led trial, accompanied by Aswanto and Wahiduddin Adams. Neither of the attorney nor plaintiff showed up to confirm. “Due to the absence, Hearing of cases 65/PUU-XII/2014 is closed,” Patrialis said at MK Hearing room, Wednesday (9.10).  

In preliminary hearing, the ruling of Sailing Act (UU Pelayaran) was alleged to hurt Plaintiff’s constitutional rights. In its argument, Plaintiff admitted that the Act was absented in demanding its opinion, thus it was seen to violate formal requirement, in executive or legislative stage.

Allegedly Constitution-opposing Articles, as follows: Article 4; Article 5 verse (1); Article 28 verse (1), (2), (3), (4), (5), and (6); Article 70 verse (2); Article 72 verse (1); Article 76 verse (1); Article 77; Article 81 verse (4); Article 82 verse (1) and (2); Article 96 verse (1); Article 104 verse (2); Article 111 verse (1); Article 116 verse (2); Article 197; and Article 207 verse (3) Act of Sailing.
