Legal Act shall erect the law principle in Indonesia. But the truth speaks otherwise, the legal regulation hasn’t met its optimal competence to enforce people’s sovereignty. The issue is important, because in its 69^th birthday Indonesia still has its to-do-list left unchecked.

As of delivered by Justice Marida Farida Indrati in the National Seminar entitled “Constitution and Development of Act formation in Indonesia,” at Nusantara IV building, MPR RI, Monday morning (9/1).

Moreover, Maria said that the formation of Act repeatedly failed to answer sprung questions. In fact, lot of factors in the formation pop corruption even more.  

“Nowadays many contents should have been ruled under laws and regulation instead of Act, whereas if so, it would be much simpler and costs less,” Maria said.

In response to unfair treat, any citizen whose Constitutional Rights was harmed may plead to Constitutional Rights, to seek a final and binding justice as determined in the 1945 Constitution.  

Given that the Act formation in Indonesia is still struggling, DPR alongside with the President (Government) must boost their qualities in generating legal product. In the circumstance of law development, Maria expressed her appreciation to Dr. Bayu Dwi Anggono, SH, MH through his book entitled “Perkembangan Pembentukan Undang-Undang di Indonesia” which published by Konstitutsi Press.
