Hopeless yet logical Ignatius Ryan Tumiwa finally revoked his Judicial Review application for Article 344 Act 8/1981 about Criminal Code (KUHP). It was unveiled in the revision Trial held on Tuesday (8/26) at MK Plenary Room.

Ryan who failed to attend the trial, due to the illness, seems to find himself enlightened after several medias amplified his ode, making the lonesome is now acquainted with fame and cameras. Those radiant spotlights reveal that maybe, all Ryan needs to tackle his agony is a little attention.

Represented by his attorney, Fransiska Indrasari, Ryan agrees to revoke his newsworthy application, “After deep consideration, we won’t revise the application and decide to end the process,” She explained toward Panel lead by Justice Aswanto.

In his pleading, Ryan who asked for death injection thinks that his Constitutional rights were harmed by the ruling of Article 344 KUHAP . The Article says, “Anyone who aborts a person’s life after his/her own willing and consciousness, will be sentenced for maximum twelve years of imprisonment”

The Applicant said that he doesn’t have anything for living and gains no subsidy from the government. He thinks that his life weighs a burden to others, so he wants to end his life by doing euthanasia.

The trial itself ran in no time, while the Panel seemed pleased with the decision. “Alhamdulillah, I do believe mr. Ryan knows what’s best for him, he is smart, his analysis is logical, and his dialogue is clear. The problem is, in contrast to his belief, constitutional rights actually ensure wellbeing life, not giving a chance to abort someone’s life.” Justice Patrialis Akbar said. (Lulu Anjarsari/kun)
