Dadi Waluyo, Witness of Province-level plenum who also a witness coordinator for Pair Candidate Prabowo Subianto-Hatta Rajasa admits that the presidential elections polling on July 9, 2014 did not take place thoroughly in all 14 regions of Papua.

It was revealed in the proceeding trial of Disputed Presidential Elections (PHPilpres). Led by Chief Justice Hamdan Zoelva, Dadi reckons the he was objecting during province-level recap. According to him, there were 14 regions in Papua, especially of which located in mountains, which was happened to miss the presidential elections. It is proven after no recap was conducted in TPS or Disrtict level, recap was only situated in region level.  

Witnesses in KPPS, PPS, and PPD weren’t able to spot any event of election or even consultative forum, given that usually it is conducted, adjusting to local wisdom. So he barely gained form of C1, D1, and DA-1. “We were told that recap was just held in Region level. It is propped after Bawaslu also did not receive any document, even witnesses from another pair candidate gained nothing as well,” he revealed.     

Besides, the objection was filed because the result was settled without 2 Districts involvement, namely West Mapia and Central Mapia. “There was a recommendation from Bawaslu to conduct re-election in those two Districts, but it failed to be undergone. There was also recommendation from panwas for recalculation in Wapoga District, Nabire,” he added.

After feud between Province KPU and Province Bawaslu, the final result was still settled without the two Districts. “The witnesses were not given a chance to protest,” he said

Dadi’s Testimony is nodded by another witness, Novela Nawipa, who fiercely states that no election was held in his village, Awabutu. Paniai Region. “No schedule of time, because the activity of election wasn’t there,” She said after being asked.

She suggests that no activity or polling cite happened to take place there. “Absolute solitude, people are human too, they think. KPU should have socialized at the first place to raise people’s awareness of the election. We live in mountains, stops fooling us around,” infuriated Nowela added.

Ballot Boxes Opening

Meanwhile, Prabowo-Hatta’s witnesses for South Sumatera recap, Ahmad Baskan Muhammad fudges the boxes opening. He also ponders that until the second day of the plenum, document of list of special voter addition (DPKTB) hasn’t been issued yet, due to the late posting and situated inside sealed boxes, thus it was unconditional.     

“My question is why by 23 or at least in July, the boxes opening didn’t invite all commissioners in particular stage. Whereas, previous reason was saying otherwise,” he explained.   

According to Ahmad, the opening was held after Bawaslu’s letter. “During the opening, I wasn’t invited, no idea of others. so I did not attend,” he said. (Lulu Hanifah/mh/kun)
