Constitutional Court (MK) conducted final trial of legislative election disputes in North Sulawesi as being filed by Function Group (Golkar) Party. Led by Chief Justice Hamdan Zoelva, the Trial took place on Wednesday (8/6).
The Court rules corrected votes to several related parties. For Golkar itself, the Court determined that Golkar gained, as follow; Singkil District 2.715 votes, Mapanget District 3.407 votes, generated totally 6.122 votes.
Meanwhile corrected votes for Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP), as follow; 4.885 votes in Singkil District, 4.860 votes in Mapanget District, generated totally 9.715 votes, while, for Democratic Party, it gains 3.852 votes and 8.329 votes in Mapangat District, generated totally 11.911 votes. Aside from mentioned parties, MK also settled for others. Democrat is seen to top the election in election area (dapil) of Manado 3.
The Court reckoned that base on reports and testimonies, the recalculation in two Districts, Singkil and Mapanget (dapil Manado 3), have been done on July, 3 to July, 6 in Elementary school 3, 5, and 50, Singkil. In Mapanget, the recalculation was done at SMP 10 Hall.
“After legal consideration, the Court sees Defendant has held recalculation for Dapil Manado 3, in Singkil and Mapanget, as instructed in MK verdict number 03-05-24/PHPU.DPR-DPRD/XII/2014, dated June 23, 2014. Therefore, the corrected votes for each party are following as explained in the Defendant’s reports,” Justice Arief Hidayat said.
Apart from the consideration, the Court also sees several frauds which happened alongside the recalculation, have no serious effect to each candidate’s votes. Particularly, most of the recommendations have been taken underway. (Panji Erawan/mh/kun)
