Constitutional Court (MK) held first trial of cases number 43/PUU-XII/2014, Judicial Review Act 8/3012 about the Legislative Elections, on Monday (14/07). The regulations of additional voters which determined in Article 40, Article 150 verse (1), and Article 151 are being reviewed as BTN-care Elections Independent Team.
In the Justice Anwar Usman-led trial, Ivonne J. Purba said that she only acted as Plaintiff’s attorney. She also said, Plaintiff Sampe Hotlan Sitorus will be no longer act as Plaintiff in further hearing due to his new role of becoming expert.
Moreover, Ivonne said that the Plaintiff also added to plead a Judicial Review over Act 42/2008 of Presidential Elections (UU Pilpres), in relation to their prior pleading of voting rights usage for the unregistered citizens.
On that argument, the Plaintiff asks MK to annul those Articles, in which regulate requirement for DPT-registered citizen and DPT revision instruction, also to recommend DPR to form applying regulation of which. Ivonne and other plaintiffs admit that they were able to use their voting rights after completed several administration whatnot. (Ilham/mh/kun)
