Constitutional Court (MK) held a breakfasting gala for all its Judges and Employees on Tuesday (8/7) at MK Hall. Head of MK, Hamdan Zoelva alongside with Judges Muhammad Alim, Wahiddudin Adams, Patrialis Akbar, Anwar Usman, and Maria Farida Indrati, Secretary General Janedjri M Gaffar, and MK Clerk Kasianur Sidauruk.  

In the event, Hamdan thanked to all the employees to have completed their duty in finishing Election Disputed Result (PHPU) well. As many as 903 cases have been dropped sentences within 30 days, of which only can be completed with the hard work from all parties.

“PHPU cases were predicted only comprise 600 at the first time, but then it boosted one and a half times from 2009’s. By the hand of God and with our well preparation, we’ve finished our duty spot-on to the due time,” he said.  

According to Hamdan, in deciding over a case, Islam required us to Ijtihad firmly and be honest. Therefore, if we have fulfilled the two requirements then two rewards are guaranteed. “As human being, Judges also glued to mistakes and errors, but after the requirements, Insha Allah, rewards are guaranteed,” he said.

Meanwhile, Judge Wahiduddin Adams described the meaning of the Shaum. According to him, Shaum has the meaning of high spiritual value and is one to measure person’s faith.(Lulu Anjarsari/mh/kun)
