National Democratic Party (Nasdem), Natioanl Awakening Party (PKB), and Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP), Function Group Party (Golkar), and Greater Indonesia Movement Party (Gerindra) are the Applicants for Southeast Sulawesi PHPU cases. Fifth trial is held on Wednesday (11/6) in MK Panel II Hearing Room.
Nasdem Party gains the first turn to present its witnesses in the hearing led by Deputy Head of MK, Justice Arief Hidayat. Laode Muhammad, Nasdem’s witnesses testify about his party’s vote removal. According to him, Nasdem’s votes were diverted to PDIP in Buton District.
“Our votes were removed, while PDIP gained 537 additional votes, Gerindra gained 377 votes, Democratic Party gained 3.094 votes, and PPP gained 3.371 votes. All were illegally added,” Laode said.
Meanwhile, Nasdem sees that the election result was far from perfect, errors can be found everywhere, thus the election should have been repeated. “KPU imposed to match and synchronize its errors within the recap, the wrong-doing happened in all level, we unanimously object the recap is invalid and must be annulled,” he explained
Disputed recap also objected by Wakatobi PDIP. PDIP were harmed as it allegedly lost its votes in 98 TPS in Wakatobi. Laode Ota, PDIP’s witness, pointed out removal of PDIP’s 300 votes in Kali Dupa District. “We noted that PDIP should have received 1.755 votes, but KPU only stated 1.435 votes,” he said.
The testimony rebuffs by the plaintiff. Muhammad Junaidi from KPU reveals that PDIP’ witnesses didn’t attend the province recap plenum. “No attending witnesses and signed document because no one from PDIP attended the plenum,” Junaidi disclosed
In the hearing, PPP revokes its pleading over Southeast Sulawesi. All the Applicants will be given time until Thursday, 12 June 2014 to register their evidences. (Lulu Anjarsari/kun/mh)
