Dems Witnesses Reveals Swapped Ballots in Barito Selatan

Dems’ witness from Central Kalimantan discloses swapped ballots in dapil 2 Barito Selatan. The testimony was delivered in the PHPU trial at Panel 3 Room, Friday (6/6).

Supervising Committee (Panwas) of Barito Selatan, reveals 11 swapped ballots in Danamasura. The swapped ballots was certainly had been marked. The committee, Tommy explained that the swapped votes came from dapil 2 and 3, Barito Selatan. In respond to it, KPPS Danamasura decided the eleven-ballot invalid.

“During the time, we agree that the ballots are invalid. KPPS deliberated and so released the C1,’ Tommy explained to justices, led by Ahmad Fadlil Sumadi.

About the swapped ballots, Dusun Selatan Panwas reported to Barito Selatan Panwas. Later on, Barito Selatan Panwas released a recommendation to redo the election. 

After the re-election, PD’s candidate in Dapil 2 Barito Selatan, Enung Irawati filed a complaint, because, apart from PD, other parties gained more votes. However, the complaint didn’t make it after.

Barito Selatan KPU member, Gazali Rahman who attended the trial, answers Tommy’s argument. Gazali nods to 11 swapped votes, it was recognized after the recap. “It is true that the notes were given to region KPU, and by 12th the recommendation to arrange re-elections was released.” Gazali said. 

Moreover, Gazali explained that there was no complaint or objection during the re-election, even from PD. He also assures that the process had done appropriately and Dems totally didn’t get harm or anything because anyhow Dems has found its way to the parliament.

Before took the hearing to an end, Chief of the Panel, Justice Fadlil Sumadi reminds all parties to register their conclusion by Sunday (8/6) to the Clerks. “Should all soft copies and evidences be registered to the Clerks, by Sunday (8/6), 10.00 AM” Fadlil ended the hearing.(Yusti Nurul Agustin/mh)
