Constitutional Court (MK) held another hearing of PHPU for Banten province. In the Hamdan Zoelva-led trial, one of the witnesses reveals chaotic condition during the recap.

Agus Syarif, Gerindra’s witness for Gunungsari, Serang, disclosed his objection about the recap, as he saw different recap of C1 and D1. Gerindra gained 15 votes in C1 recap but it was dropped to 2 votes in Gunungsari. As happened in TPS 5 Ciherang, 21 votes of Gerindra were forced to decrease to just one.

Agus also confessed that he was burdened to interrupt due to the chaotic situation. “Our discussion was interrupted because at the time there were disorganized people trying to breach the plenum. We evacuated ourselves” he said in the hearing, Wednesday (6/4).  “10 to hundreds people shrieked. We felt unsafe, so we declined to sign the plenum” he added.

Objection Granted

Meanwhile, South Tangerang KPU member, Bambang Dwitoro revealed that there was some objections from Nasdem . The objections were directly responded by KPU, “We checked the data from 10 TPS. We inspected the diverted votes but it wasn’t just Nasdem,” he explained.

However, Bambang’s testimony was complained by Andi M. Asrun as Bambang declined the witnesses. Bambang said that Fahri is not the witness whom Nasdem registered, it was Sarifudin. “To be noticed, this is not the witness we’ve registered for the trial. Our witness named Sarifuddin” (Lulu Hanifah/mh)
