Democratic Party (PD) and United Development Party (PPP) are two parties to plead over 2014’s PHPU. Both parties struggle for Dapil Bangka Belitung in MK Panel 2 Session Room, Tuesday (3/6). The session deliberated votes bubbling in two regions, Bangka Selatan and Bangka.

Democratic Party, explained the difference on KPU-announced result in Bangka Belitung Islands province. In the DPRD Bangka Selatan province level, according to Tituk Bagus Novianto, there are some difference in recap of DA-1 with DB-1.    

“We found some difference on valid and invalid votes. In total, all valid political party generates 95.486 votes and the invalid votes are 7.184. All total votes, written in the DB-1 are 103.098 votes. The error can be seen from the calculation. The exact number should be 102.670 votes” Tituk said.

According to Tituk, Democratic Party is suspicious about the effort of vote increasing and to lower the BPP. “That means, one party gained two seats but PD lost a seat”he said.

PPP’s Internal Disputes

In the session, PPP pleads other internal disputes in two regions. As happened in Parit Padang, Candidates Muhammad Fauzi and Eva Lestari are separated by one vote. According to Eva’s witness, Hartati, PPK’s recap is clearly different from the KPPS’. “So many changes, not just for PD, but also other parties” She said  

Similar occurrence happened in Sungai Liat. Another PPP’s witness, Mimi Sizumi, disclosed Eva’s diverted votes to Fauzi. In TPS 13, Fauzi gained 10 votes, when the applicant gained 5 votes. “In the plenum, Applicant vote decreased to zero, and the number candidate gained 10 from the previous 5 votes” She explained.

In respond to that, Bangka KPU declined the two PPP witnesses. According to Firman Pardede as the chief of Bangka KPU, the testimonies are false. His side was reported to Bangka Panwaslukada. And he got a recommendation to re-calculate the ballots.  

“After the plenum, we gave three days for unsatisfied parties, later on Eva reported the recommendation to re-calculate the ballots. We checked the reports and it was false report” he explained.

 In the prove hearing, Justices, led by Judge Arief Hidayat, gave time to the applicant to deliver conclusion by Thursday, June 5 2014. “We will verify the physical evidence by tomorrow for all parties’ Arief said.(Lulu Anjarsari/kun/mh)
