PHPU hearing is proceeding as on Friday (30/5), testimonial hearing was conducted in Panel 2 session room. The hearing was led by Justice Arief Hidayat for North Sumatera. Democratic Party was the first to testify.

From the hearing, it was known that Southern Nias KPU didn’t complete the checking through 1.086 TPS, only 90 TPS was calculated instead. One of the KPU members admitted the occurrence, it happened due to the re-elections in 71 TPS. “There were re-elections in 36 TPS on April 12^th and 35 TPS on April 26^th. “ He said.

 Dems’ Witnesses

Meanwhile, one of the witnesses presented by Democratic Party, Boni Sahita, was considered as fake witness by the Justices. Boni gave incoherent testimony for the voting addition in Maenamolo, Southern Nias.

Prior to it, he explained there were violations over 6 candidates for DPR/DPRD North Sumatera, while candidate Hubagio Manalu gained unjust votes. He claimed he was the witness, but then he was substituted by Suherti. “You said you were the witness, why then it’s changed to Suherti. You might be considered as fake witness, you have violated your oath” Arief angered.

In respond to it, Nias Selatan KPU, explained there was no certain witness for all parties after Nias Selatan voting recapitulation. “This happened to not just PD, but also to all parties”. Representatative said.

Declining Recap Manipulation

In the hearing that ended at 11:00 pm, Medan KPU represented by Yenni declined unsuitable recap and unreasonable re-elections as reported happened in North Sumatera. All things were done over Panwaslu and Bawaslu’s recommendations. “About the error in recap, there were only errors in 3 TPS, but the matter is the column not numerical” Yenni said.

The hearing was attended by representatives from PKB, PDIP, Golkar, PAN, PPP, Hanura, PBB, and PKPI. The hearing itself will be continued on Monday, 2 June 2014.(Lulu Anjarsari/mh)
