Second Trial of PHPU: Dems Registered to be Related Party

MK proceeds to next phase of PHPU hearing with the agenda to check revised pleas. The hearing was conducted in MK Plenary Session, Monday (26/5).

Chief of MK Hamdan Zoelva in the hearing said, revised plea from Democratic Party (PD) has been received and inspected by MK, thus it will be regarded as been read.  

Afterwards, Hamdan explained the next hearing will be plaintiff’s session (KPU). In respond to that, KPU’s attorney Absar Karta Brata stated that his side hasn’t ready yet to deliver fact in the session. “Your majesty, we want to retain that we are not going to deliver our information by this day (Monday)” Absar Karta Brata said.

Utomo Karim, PD’s attorney was also delivered to the Judges that his side had registered the Related Parties matter to MK Clerks. “Your majesty, about the agenda of plaintiff hearing we have prepared answers as Related Parties. But it still needs to be revised, it may take time” Utomo Karim said.

PD with Registration Number Case 10-07/PHPU.DPR-DPRD/XII/2014 sued the General Election Commission’s (KPU) decision 411/Kpts/KPU/2014 on the Determination Results of Election of Members of the House of Representatives (DPR), Regional Representatives Council (DPD), and the Regional Representatives Council (DPRD) and the Provincial Council District / City in the 2014 election. Moreover, 2014’s Election judge also laden with fraud and structured, systematic and massive violations undertaken by the Commission.

The next session will be conducted on Wednesday (28/5) with the agenda of  Plaintiff and Related Parties Hearing.(Panji Erawan/mh)
