Constitutional Court (MK) conducted second phase of PHPU trial with the agenda of files-checking in MK Plenary Session Room, Monday (26/05).

MK has received National Democratic Party (Nasdem)’s revised applications. ”In this session, we have received and learned, so the revised application is considered has been recited” Hamdan Zoelva recited.   

Hamdan also said that the session will be proceeding into hearing session from the General Elections Commissions (KPU). But KPU, represented by its attorney Absar Karta Brata said that KPU hasn’t ready yet for the hearing session. “Your Majesty, based on MK trial guidance of PHPU, whether the accused one may be giving information by tomorrow, we haven’t ready yet to give it now” Absar said.

Nasdem Party, represented by Muhammad Andi Asrun, stated his side has submitted itself to be the related party. Moreover, Nasdem asked MK to allow them to add more attorneys. “We want MK to allow us in adding more attorney, we need more than five just to me it more effective. Therefore, we demand to add more attorneys for each party, as it will be divided into three panels” Asrun demanded      

As known before, Nasdem party is the applicant which registered upon number 01-01/PHPU-DPR-DPRD/XII/2014 jerks on KPU’s decision (411/Kpts/KPU/2014) about DPR and DPRD legislative election result. The result itself was announced on Friday (9/5).

 Votes bubbling, illegal recap, money politics, and boxes revealing are some of the violations being issued by Nasdem.  

The next Session will be conducted on Wednesday (28/05), with the agenda of hearing session from the defendant and related parties.(Panji Erawan/mh)
