Arguing Fudges and Fraud, Golkar Appeals Elections in 26 Provinces

 Constitutional Court (MK) arranged Preliminary Session on PHPU as being deliberated by Function Group Party (Golkar) to appeal KPU’s decision on Monday (12/5), MK held the session with the agenda of first checking continuously.

Golkar pleads on KPU’s decision (411/kpts/KPU/2014) about the settlement of DPR and DPRD memberships. As being released on last Friday (9/5).

The second-winning party in the last election, complaints the result in 26 provinces with the total generating 131 dapil. 10 cases are DPR, 16 for individual DPR candidates.  The 16 cases, include Sudirman Halawa from North Sumatera, Zulfendri Hasan from Western Sumatera, and  Muhamammad Yasir from South Sulawesi.  

In its pleading, Golkar sees some fudges and fraud of the elections, especially in areas which Golkar issued. That includes, falsified votes and fraud on votes result.


Revise the Files.

In the preliminary session, when confirmed about the presence of attorney’s signs, Samsul Huda as its attorney described the signs were actually there, the last pages of the bundle is forgotten. But according to Samsul, the completed documents have been filed to the Clerks.

“On the day we forgot to sign the last pages of the bundle, but we have completed the document afterwards, your Majesty.”  Samsul explained

On the absence, Samsul assured he will compile his application based on how MK has required. The next session will be held on Monday (26/5) in MK Plenary Room (Yusti Nurul Agustin/mh)
