Head of MK, Hamdan Zoelva feels blissful, when the first time he became the Head of MK, the institution is at nadir.

“I lead when MK is at the lowest point. But I convinced to all of my employees and Justices. Insha Allah the storming tempest will be over in the next four or sixth months” Hamdan said in “General Lecture on Bima’s Future Prospect as the Center of Excellent Sciences Studies and Technology Development” Wednesday (14/5) at Alia Hotel, Jakarta.   

“And then it came true, after six months of Akil Mochtar’s case, Mk is getting better and better. Trust from the society has restored. We don’t need to say much, resisting from media won’t resolve anything. That’s why we defend through our work. That includes verdict, it may appalling but acceptable” Hamdan said.    

On Hamdan’s view, MK’s fast recovery is actually beyond expectation. MKRI is now even pointed to be the president of Asian’s Constitutional Court Union.

“I’ve met another Constitutional Court Leaders from many nations, they respect MKRI. Even some of them want to joint partnerships with us. One of them is Russian Constitutional Court” he described  

Hamdan also said that Bima was one of the biggest Sultanate in Indonesia during 13^th-14^th century. One of the main point on spices trade. “But if we’re seeing education, Bima may a bit slow. NTT is the most accelerating in education, followed by Bima and Lombok.” Hamdan said. He also said about the goodwill from Sultan Salahudin many years ago, he who started educational awareness in Bima by constructing Islamic Schools (Madrasah)

“Courage of Bimans to be educated is huge. We may have simple houses, but put education and hajj as priority” he added.  Aside from things mentioned above, Bimans are known for their adaptable, democratic and egalitarian mind. Society development must derive from such things.
