Unusual occurrence happened during the first day of PHPU compiling files period on Tuesday (13/5).  Nono Sampono, candidate for local council (DPD) from Maluku, pleads on PHPU. Whereas, Nono Sampono was announced to win the election as he collected second-biggest votes in Maluku.

“It is true that I won and heading to be the member of DPD. But basically, I fight for democracy, not position or else. This would be a lesson for us.” As described by the-also-known for his candidacy as Vice Governor of Jakarta in 2012’s election.

“ I plead to KPU’s recap, in province or national level. My demand related to voting result. This harms me as the first subject and people who have chosen me” Nono Sampono said.

Nono’s disadvantage is about numbers. “I am now member of DPD, the second from the chosen four. But, 40,000 of my votes missing in city level”. The missing votes are presumably caused by cheating candidates and illegal compromise from local leader, Nono described

“To be honest, I am a legitimate candidate, I want to struggle for people’s interest. This makes some people feel annoyed with my presence”. Nono also stated that he is ready to take responsibility from whom he points his finger to.
