Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court ( MK ) Hamdan Zoelva held a press conference to straighten out the news about the Constitutional Court Decision No. 83/PUU-XI/2013 which granted the request of the victims of the Lapindo mud , Friday ( 4/4 ) . On that occasion , Hamdan reiterated that the Court through its decision seeks to urge the Government and PT Lapindo Brantas to complete the payment of compensation as soon as possible .

Previously , after the Constitutional Court Decision No. 83/PUU-XI/2013 pronounced on Wednesday (26/3), the outstanding reports stating all losses Lapindo mudflow victims will be paid entirely government . In other words , the news media concluded the decision of the Court ordered the government to pay compensation Lapindo mudflow victims who are in the Affected Area Map ( PAT ) by using fund the state budget / revised budget . Some parties then angry because prejudiced PT Lapindo Brantas hands over his actions that harm the residents of Sidoarjo .

Straightening the reports, Hamdan asserted responsibility PT Lapindo and the government respectively unchanged . PT Lapindo Brantas remain fully responsible for the payment of compensation to residents who are in the Affected Area Map ( PAT ) . Meanwhile , the government also remain liable to pay compensation settlement to people who are outside the PAT by using the state budget .

Which become problems later , the applicant who is resident in the PAT it has not received compensation settlement entirely by PT Lapindo Brantas . In contrast to residents outside the PAT has received compensation using the state budget . The petitioners also feel unfairly treated by the provisions of Article 9, paragraph ( 1 ) letter a revised budget law 2013.

Hence then the Court through Decision No. 83/PUU-XI/2013 said the government through the mechanism provided related functions must provide accountability , protection and legal certainty for the community so that the people who are outside and inside PAT equally compensated . Government / state with its powers is available to it to be able to guarantee and ensure repayment of damages as appropriate to the communities in the region PAT by companies who are responsible for it. In other words , the Court asked the Government to " suppress " PT Lapindo Brantas immediately pay compensation to the people in the region PAT .

 " So it is still the responsibility of the loss settlement residents in PAT is the responsibility of Lapindo . Then , is the state’s responsibility to guarantee and ensure the repayment of compensation to residents in PAT by responsible companies , "said Hamdan in the presence of journalists from print and electronic media were present at the press conference at the 15th Floor , the Court House .

Finally, in the question and answer session , ensuring Hamdan Court decision this time there is no relation at all with the implementation of legislative elections / presidential 2014.
