50 Postgraduate Students of Unila Bandar Lampung Visit the Court

Head of Research and Case Studies, Management of Information and Communication Technology Constitutional Court Guntur Hamzah received a visit from 50 postgraduate students, University of Lampung, Bandar Lampung, in the hall of the Court, Monday (24/02/2014). According to Guntur, universities play an important role helping to enforce law and justice in the country.

Guntur in this opportunity explained the four powers and liabilities owned by the court. The Court is authorized to test Act against the Constitution, the state agency to decide disputes that authority granted by the Act of 1945 and the dissolution of political parties and election results to decide disputes, both the legislative elections, the president and vice president as well as local elections. The obligation of the Court is to give verdict on the opinion of the House on the alleged violations committed by the president and vice president by the Constitution.

Not only that, Guntur also said that before the incident by former Chief Justice, Constitutional Court of Republic of Indonesia included in the tenth best list of 78 Constitutional Court worldwide.

In the final presentation, Guntur said MK is currently preparing for the legislative elections that fall in April. MK had socialized through technical guidance to all political parties participated in the election (12 parties), as well as the organizers of the ongoing election since the end of last year in the Education Center of Pancasila and the Constitution Court, in Cisarua - Bogor.
