Applicant’s Attorney in the case of judicial review of the Law on Food, Beny Sinaga Higher Education, states have improved their petition. This was stated at the hearing on Monday (16/12) afternoon, at the Panel Session Court. According to Benny, it had carried out repairs in accordance with the advice and counsel of the Constitutional Court Panel on the previous trial.
Beny revealed, it has improved the petition at the loss of his constitutional petition and petition. “Improvements have been submitted (to the Registrar of the Court, pen)," said Beny to the Constitutional Court Panel chaired the Constitutional Court Patrialis Akbar.
Previously, the Petitioners consist of eleven Non Governmental Organizations (NGO) fighting for the rights of farmers and the environment at least test the six chapters in the Food Act. According to the Applicant, the articles that have been tested contain legal uncertainty, discrimination, and potentially criminalize food business operators, especially for small businesses and individuals.
