Indonesian Youth National Committee (KNPI) has an important strategic role and position to participate in the success of the elections. Concern discusses preparations for the 2014 elections KNPI involvement is an important part in building the nation and the state.
"The understanding, awareness, appreciation of democratic organizing is a very important and strategic for KNPI. However KNPI is the future of the nation and the state. This is where most container forge the cadres and future leaders in the future," said Vice Chairman of the Constitutional Court Hamdan Zoelva as a speaker on National Political Symposium held by DPP KNPI, Wednesday (23/10) night in Jakarta.
On that occasion Hamdan presented a paper titled "The Role of the Constitutional Court in the 2014 election". Hamdan said there are four things he wanted to say in brief the relevant papers.
The first thing, said Hamdan, the position of the Constitutional Court related to democracy and elections. That the election was a power struggle that is recognized by law. The first thing that should be considered in generating a good election is a good rule of law, good governance rules, a good resolution mechanisms and in the end there is an independent judiciary, impartial to enforce the rule of law, in this case the Constitutional Court.
"When all legal norms, the rule goes well, the settlement of disputes through an independent judiciary, all violations of the electoral process will be resolved properly," said Hamdan.
"In a country that is plural, large nation, the democratic option is highly preferred choice. Unlike the small countries whose inhabitants are not too much, then the monarchy could still run well," said Hamdan.
The second is the establishment, election management organ. For example is the establishment of the Commission, Supervisory Committee, and so on. Another thing, and no less important is the issue of voter registration.
The third thing is the reasons for and development of decisions of the Constitutional Court relating to the election very progressive.
