The trial on dispute the result of election of regional head Batubara Regency was held back by the Constitutional Court on Monday (21/10) afternoon, at the Plenary Room. On this occasion, the Constitutional Court Panel headed by Deputy Chief Justice Hamdan Zoelva examined witnesses presented by the Election Commission (Respondent) and Elected Candidate OK Arya Zulkarnain - Harry Nugroho (Related Party).

In principle, the witnesses presented by the Respondent revealed that the implementation of the General Election in Batubara Regency has been in accordance with the applicable procedures, ranging from administrative and factual verification of each candidate to the recapitulation of the vote. Chairman of the Voting Committee (PPS) Parupuk village, Hasan Basri said there was no problem that occurred during the implementation of the General Election. "No problem, no protest, and no fuss," he said.

Related ballot boxes kept at PPS Chairman’s house, Hasan Basri explained it was because the conditions are not representative of the village hall. In addition, the decision also has been agreed between PPS and candidate witnesses, Linmas, and the police are on duty. Even so, he continued, the calculation is still being done in the village hall. "After all collected and sealed, newly appointed to the Chairman of PPS," he explained.

In line with the description of Hasan Basri, Chairman of PPS village Lima Laras, Rahmat, said that the organization runs smoothly and controlled the General Election. The proof, he said all the witnesses to the signature of the recapitulation of the vote. He also insisted that did not receive referrals from anyone to win one candidate.

Meanwhile Related Party denied allegations that question the Applicant Certificate Replacement Certificate of Graduate Study (STTB) for Primary School (SD) and High School (SMP) which is used by Candidate OK Arya Zulkarnain. 

After hearing the testimony of witnesses, the Panel will still examine some witnesses at the hearing on Tuesday (22/10) at 10:30 pm, in the Meeting Room of the Court. The plan, Candidate Regent and Vice Regent Number 5 Zahir - Suriono as Petitioner will present an expert and four witnesses, two witnesses of the Respondent , as well as four witnesses from Related Parties.
