South Sumatra Re-Voting, Alex Noerdin-Ishak Mekki Keep Winning

The Constitutional Court (MK) has finally issuing a final decision on the case of South Sumatra Election Dispute filed by Herman Deru - Maphilinda Boer and Eddy Santana Putra - Anisja Djuita Supriyanto, Tuesday (8/10). Court rejected both.

Earlier on Thursday, July 11, 2013, by the decision, the Court ordered the Election Commission of South Sumatra Province to implement the Election Re-Voting in all polling stations in the district of East Ogan  Komering Ulu, Ogan Komering Ulu, Palembang, Prabumulih City, and the Southern District of Ranau Warkuk in South Ogan Komering Ulu. After South Sumatra Provincial KPU did re-voting, the Court also set Alex Noerdin - Ishak Mekki gets the most votes overall in all areas of South Sumatra Province to acquire 1,447,799 votes.

Meanwhile, Herman Deru- Maphalinda Boer as the applicant gets the second highest after the pair Alex Noerdin - Ishak Mekki with 1,389,169 votes. While the pair Eddy Santana Putra - Anisja Djuita Supriyanto was third in the vote as a candidate for Governor and Deputy Governor of South Sumatra gained 507.149 votes.

With a decision of this Court, the South Sumatra Provincial KPU Decree No. 33/Kpts/KPU.Prov-006/VI/2013 on the Determination Result Summary Election Counting Vote Results of Governor and Deputy Governor of South Sumatra in 2013, dated June 13, 2013 along with news the show was canceled. Court canceled the KPU Decree No. 34/Kpts/KPU.Prov-006/VI/2013 South Sumatra Province of Establishment Candidate Elected Governor and Deputy Governor of South Sumatra Period 2013-2018 In the General Election of Governor and Deputy Governor of South Sumatra in 2013 , dated June 14, 2013. Thus, South Sumatra Provincial Election Commission should implement the decision of the Court is as it should be.

"Ordered Electoral Commission of South Sumatra Province to implement this decision as it should. Petitioner rejected the objection," said Hamdan read out excerpts numbered 79/PHPU.D-XI/2013.

While the petition pair Eddy Santana Putra - Anisja Djuita Supriyanto, the Court rejected his petition because the Petitioner’s arguments about the violation of an administrative nature and not criminal because legally proven. Court judge, Petitioner’s arguments merely alleged violations merely sporadic alone so it does not prove to influence the vote of each candidate. ( Yusti Nurul Agustin / mh )
