Toward revocation of the case, the Constitutional Assembly led by Constitutional Justice Muhammad Alim suggested that the applicant submit a written statement of revocation cases. "It could be handwritten or typed, submitted to Court’s secretariat," Alim said.
Previously , the Petitioner test of Article 2, Article 3, Article 6, Article 7, Article 8, Article 10 paragraph (2) a and subsection (3), and Article 13 of Law No. 7 of 1978 on the Rights of the Finance / Administrative President and Vice President and Former President and Vice- President of the Republic of Indonesia (President Finance Rights Act).
According to the applicant, the welfare conditions of the President and Vice President of the rights guaranteed by the State Finance Law, each year has increased and is not affected by the high cost of living and the instability of the Indonesian economy. It is, further Petitioner, a stark contrast to the growing number of poverty as well as the increasing national debt. Therefore, the Petitioner asks the Court to invalidate these provisions.
"The increasing number of poor people and economic instability. The people are not prosperous and life is inversely proportional to the president," said one of the Petitioner’s attorneys Bambang Gatot. He said the provisions of which were tested by the company, contrary to Article 27 paragraph ( 1 ) and Article 34 paragraph ( 1 ) of the 1945 Constitution.
One article stated that President’s basic salaries is 6 (six) times the basic salary of the highest officials of the country than the President and Vice- President, while the Vice- President of the basic salary is 4 (four) times the highest base salary. And in addition to the basic salary, President and Vice President were also given responsibility allowance and other allowances in accordance with the laws and regulations that apply to the Civil Service.
