M. Akil Mochtar was unanimously re-elected as Chief Justice of Constitutional Court (MK) for the term 2013 to 2016, after the constitutional judges reach consensus in the Consultative Meeting (RPH) to select the Chief Justice, on Monday (19/08/2013). This was stated by M. Akil Mochtar in a press conference at Constitutional Court building in the same day.
According to Akil, election of Court Chief Justice carried out in connection with his oath as a constitutional judge in the presence of the President some time ago, after the House of People Representatives (DPR) re-elect him as a constitutional judge for a term from 2013 to 2018.
Furthermore, men from Putussibau born 52 years ago explained, based on the RPH constitutional judges agreed that the term of office of the chairman of the Constitutional Court and the term of office of chairman of the Constitutional Court that has lived since April 2013 and still be counted as the first period he served as chairman of the Constitutional Court. Akil said that he would take an oath as chairman of the Constitutional Court on August 20, 2013 at 10:00 am.
