"The purpose of my arrival to the Court, other than as a friendship and also be a meeting between two friends," Helmy said.

During the meeting, a few things are talked, including the handling of the election by the Constitutional Court.

"I looked at it would be lovely if Election disputes resolved at the provincial level. There are as organizers Election Commission, Election Supervisory Body and DKPP. As for the crime problem in the General Election, the solution can be through a public court. The Court thus be more focused on dealing with an Act," said Helmi.

It is delivered by Helmy not without foundation. Almost every day the Constitutional Court case dealing with disputes regional head election results, but according to Helmy, it is not efficient in terms of time and cost.

"It must be a collective spirit. Imagine if the Election dispute Papua or Maluku, which should bring a lot of witnesses to Jakarta. In time and costs will be enormous, inefficient. But if done at the provincial level will be more efficient, just completed from city to city," explained Helmy.

Meanwhile, responding to what is presented on Election, Patrialis Akbar said about the Election of handling disputes is actually an additional task. Because initially Court is only handles dispute election results.

In the 1945 elections include the parliamentary election, the President and Vice President, Council, and Parliament. "But then mandated treatment Election Law to the Constitutional Court," said Patrialis.

Furthermore, the efficiency of case handling in the Election Court, Patrialis personally said handling could be done at the provincial level; there is a special court under high court.

"From the beginning, I thought so. However, because the Court is mandated by law, the Constitutional Court was the one who handles election cases," said Patrialis. (Nano Tresna Arfana / mh)
