Court Rejects Lawsuit Incumbent Mayor Mobagu

The Court rejected the appeal by the incumbent mayor Mobagu City, Djelantik Mokodompit and his partner Rustam Simbala who were suing competitors’ victory Tatong Bara-Jainuddin Damapolii in election 2013. Other participants, Nurdin Makalalag also included the claim to the Court.

In consideration Court judged Petitioner cannot prove all of the arguments he advanced. As in the argument of choosing the invitation card purchases, the ineffectiveness of the Supervisory Committee, and double the number of voters and underage voters. Based on all the evidence and witnesses presented, the Court found no clear evidence that the series has been a deliberate action of the Election Commission to manipulate voter list data. The Court believes even the Election Commission has conducted validation and updating of voter data according to applicable regulations.

The argument alleged money politics in Tatong Bara winning team. The Court does not see any facts that describe significant influence over the practice in a structured, significant and massive. "Just occur sporadically and does not affect the vote each candidate," said Hamdan Zoelva.

While the arguments of the ineffectiveness of Supervisory Committee, the Court assumed, there is no intention to undermine the work of the Election Commission that the Supervisory Committee suspected in favor of Tatong Bara and adverse Mokodompit and Nurdin Makalalag at once.
