Pangkalpinang Election Commission Witness: Ismiryadi-Abu Bakar Requirements Incomplete

The Constitutional Court held a hearing on election result disputes regional head and deputy regional head Pangkalpinang 2013 with the agenda to hear the answers from Related Parties and Respondent witnesses in Panel Room, Tuesday (23/07).

In a session led by the Deputy Chief Justice Ahmad Sodiki, it was not attended by Related Party candidate number 5, and therefore the trial continued with listening to witness testimony from the Respondent which was attended by former commissioner who was dismissed by the Election Commission for violating the code of ethics, Ivan Fikri and Syaiful Karim. They both describe the process of verification and clarification related to the registration of political party supporters.

They say, there are three candidates backed by the same political party, including the applicant. Therefore many political parties did not pass the verification, because of changes in the management of political parties, and the absence of the signature of the chairman or secretary of a political party that support it.

Respondent witnesses Moh. Heri Suryono as Election Commission secretariat staff related to candidate registration explained, at the time of registration as a candidate, applicant Ismiryadi-Abu Bakar has not completed the requirements, and no improvement of the applicant, until the time of the registration.

Associated with the political party decree that provides support to candidates, Election Commission secretariat staff Tica Priyani conveyed, that there are 13 political parties were present, 9 of the non-parliamentary party, and 4 of the parliamentary party, not numbered as many as 16 political parties argued by witness applicant in the previous trial, and it has been recorded by witnesses and reported to the legal department of Pangkalpinang City Election Commission.

After hearing the testimony of witnesses Respondent Commission, constitutional judges say, that hearing on Pangkalpinang dispute election results will be delayed until tomorrow, Wednesday (24/07), with the agenda to hear testimony from the applicant and the witnesses of the respondent Commission.
